Resident are advised to take preventive measures to curtail rapid deterioration of ambient air quality index:
• Avoid activities that is potential source of smoke i.e., open burning of solid waste, tyres, rubber and plastic etc.
• Compliance of dust generating units, boilers & furnaces laws.
• Ensure vehicular inspections every year.
• Covering of construction material at site.

As per Govt. of the Punjab, Chief Inspector & Deputy Chief Inspector of Boiler, Govt. of Punjab has been Authorized Inspectors.
Resident are advised to adopt environmental friendly measure and mitigate pollution by installing scrubbers, cyclones to boilers emitting smoke.
