Net metering is an electricity policy for consumers who own Renewable Energy facilities which allows them to use electricity whenever needed while getting credit for contributing their production to the grid.

All Electricity Consumers of PIEDMC Industrial Estates can switch their electricity load to Solar energy and can slash their power bills upon contribution to PIEDMC distribution network, provides that subject to technical considerations and without discrimination and upon request by end-users, PIEDMC shall enter into net-metering agreement with qualified end users who will be installing the Solar RE system.

Automated Meter Reading (AMR) Energy Meters are installed alongwith implementation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) for directly transmission of data to BOMSIE / end users.

The core advantages for installation of AMR Energy Meters include increased efficiencies, customer satisfaction, realistic analysis of technical losses, outage detection, tamper notification and reduced labour cost etc.

INTEGRATED BILLING SYSTEM (IBS)

Electricity billing is being processed through Integrated Billing System, developed by Power Information Technology Company.

MOBILE APPLICATION FOR ELECTRIC READING / PAYMENT

Mobile application shall be available soon with Consumers to see realtime electricity consumption, data analytics and payment processing.

PIEDMC / BOMSIE own dedicated 132kV AIS Grid Station comprising 4 x 40MVA Power Transformer Bays for continuity of electricity supply to Industrial Consumers.

Construction of 2^nd 132kV Grid Station in-process to cope increasing load demand of Industrial Estate.
