The Government of Punjab has declared SMOG as calamity under section 3 of The Punjab National Calamities (Prevention & Relief Act, 1958). It is mandatory to take all possible preventive measures to improve the ambient air quality by not burning solid waste inside /outside SIE premises. Residents are requested to ensure Installation of Scrubbers in Boilers and duly monitor Emissions including furnaces.
